LENORE LEAVES REALITY

When professional mourner Lenore isn’t pretending to cry at strangers’ funerals, she’s busy fending off the ghosts of her vanquished enemies who have very inconveniently decided to start haunting her. As if this wasn’t enough to deal with, she’s also dragged into conflict with the conspiracy theorist group HX, who have managed to lure her best friend Audrey into their ranks. As Lenore investigates the fringe group and their ever-evolving concoction of outlandish beliefs about vaccines, 5G, chemtrails and unpasteurised milk, members of the group start to go missing.

Meanwhile, her brother Darius is dating a method actor, Michiko, who decides to join the group as research for an upcoming film. As HX begins to fracture and radicalise, Darius, Michiko and some new allies decide to infiltrate a cohort of HX members as they undergo a secretive weekend induction ceremony, while Lenore becomes the next person to go missing (along with her accompanying ghosts).

As Lenore struggles to figure out where she is and how to escape, the others face a dangerous series of escalating challenges to prove their dedication to the cause. They were promised that none of them would go home unchanged, but it appears as though some of them won’t go home  at all…
