S.M. Arthur lives and writes in Denver, Colorado and visits Maui, Hawaii  often. A wife, mother and grandmother, she loves spending time with family, reading books (mostly mysteries and biographies), movies, and loves to travel and incorporate travel experiences into her books.

 
She is a member of Sister in Crime and Women Writing the West. She has a  B.S. Degree in Business from the University of Colorado and a M.A. in  English from the same university. She worked in the corporate world for a  number of years before joining her husband's software company. Now  retired, she has more time for her love of writing.

She has written two young adult books, and a mystery titled: Murder at Heartbreak Ranch.
