
PRISCILLA PATON
Priscilla Paton grew up in the watery state of Maine, worked in the watery state of Minnesota, and currently lives in Wisconsin on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River. Before turning to mysteries, she was an English professor and published an academic book on New England landscapes. She has also published a children’s book, Howard and the Sitter Surprise (which she reads to her grandchildren). She writes the award-nominated Twin Cities Mystery Series featuring feisty Deb Metzger and outdoorsy Erik Jansson. When the House Burns—sex, death, and real estate—follows Where Privacy Dies and Should Grace Fail. Her fourth, In Blind Trust, about the murder of a MedTech executive, is forthcoming with Level Best. She’s also published short stories in Cooked to Death IV (ed. Rhonda Gilliland) and On Fire and Under Water: A Climate Change Crime Fiction Anthology (ed. Curtis Ippolito). She is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and International Thriller Writers. In addition, she belongs to The League of Women Voters and participates in environmental and community advocacy programs.
