NICOLE ASSELIN

Nicole Asselin grew up the child of a Navy Officer, moving around with  her family as her father was stationed in various US locales including  Monterey, Hawaii, and Florida. She spent her formative high school  years in the middle of Pennsylvania, but always identified with her New  England roots.

Her family is originally from New England (Connecticut) and she always  loved the weather in the north. Nicole graduated from Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts with a degree in English/Creative Writing,  minoring in Dance in 2004. She also attended George Mason University and  received a Master’s in Arts Management. She currently lives on the  South Shore of Massachusetts with her three cats Julia, Jacques, and  Madeline (no relation to the main character of her book).

Nicole is a current member of Sisters in Crime (National and New  England) and the Mystery Writers of America (National and New England).  As of January 2026, she is the President of Sisters in Crime New England  and on the committee of the NE Crime Bake held every November.

The Ballpark Mystery Series is her first series. Inspired by her Grandpa  and Grandma Asselin, the book combines her two loves, mystery and  baseball (Go Red Sox) into a new cozy genre.
