LINDA W. FITZGERALD

A native of Michigan's Upper Peninsula (aka the UP), Linda Wirtanen  Fitzgerald migrated to Ann Arbor for graduate school and, like so many  others, never left. After several years as senior copywriter for an ad  agency, she launched her own firm and for more than three decades worked with a broad spectrum of clients in higher education, business,  industry and--her favorite--the non-profit world. In her free time, she developed an addiction to mystery novels and resolved to someday try her own hand at writing a cozy, her favorite genre. That longtime ambition was realized in 2023 with the publication of Death at the Doorstep, the debut adventure of the Karin Niemi Mystery Series. Her second book, A Superior Way to Die (2025), takes Karin home to the  picturesque towns of Munising and Marquette, in the northern reaches of the UP.
