LINDA ROBERTSON

As a professor, she studied the effects of mass media on society and of  military history until her retirement. Then Lady "Foxy" Butterschloss came  knocking on Linda's metaphorical door, insisting she tell the story of the  brilliant female cryptographers of World War I who were buried in the  historical record. Foxy is feisty, headstrong, as smart as they come. She solves mysteries using her considerable knowledge of codes and  codebreaking, and is rescued by the man who has loved her for decades  when she leaps before she looks.
