D.J. MAHONEY

D.J. Mahoney is a native of Boston, which serves as the setting for his debut crime novel, 33 Buchanan Road, scheduled to be released by Level Best Books in 2027. A graduate of Harvard College and Boston University School of Law, Dan got the inspiration for his first novel while reading Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment in high school—more specifically, after his senior year English teacher devoted one class to having Dan and the rest of the students swing an axe (that’s right!) to reenact Raskolnikov’s pivotal scene. Dan lives outside of Boston with his beautiful wife and daughter, and the queen of the house, Eleanor, their French Bulldog.
