Charlotte Stuart, PhD is an award-winning mystery writer who enjoys walks in the woods, black licorice, and twisty plots. Most of her mysteries contain a smattering of humor, but some are deadly serious.

Before she started writing full time, she left a tenured faculty position to go commercial salmon fishing in Alaska, spent a year sailing  and exploring in the Washington and Canadian San Juans, enjoyed time as a management consultant, and closed out her non-writing career as a VP of HR and Training.

Charlotte lives on Vashon Island in the Pacific Northwest with her husband who is also a writer and with her imaginary cat, Macavity.
