ALAN GIBSON
Alan B. Gibson didn’t publish his first novel until age seventy, though he’d dreamed of being a writer since childhood. His career has been anything but conventional: language professor, travel agent, adventure traveler, film producer, and tech entrepreneur. For decades, however, his primary creative outlet was writing and producing television, radio, print, and digital advertising, earning a reputation as one of the industry’s most innovative voices.
Writing as A. B. Gibson, he self-published three bestselling horror thrillers—The Dead of Winter, Tracked to Kill, and High Voltage. The Dead of Winter, a psychological thriller, inspired Blood Seed, a feature horror film currently in development with Atchity Productions.
Gibson’s foray into romance and fantasy began unexpectedly in Scotland, where a late-night dare from a group of crime writers challenged him to try the genre. To his own surprise, he loved it. His novel Summer Thunder led to a four-book contract with LMBPN Publishing, resulting in the Magic at Myers Beach series (Summer Thunder, Summer Storm, Summer Lightning, and Summer Cyclone), a finalist for the 2025 Chanticleer Fiction Series Award.
Thrillers remain his first love. In 2024, he signed a three-book deal with Level Best Books, with the first title scheduled for release in January 2026.
An avid adventurer, Gibson has drawn from extraordinary real-world experiences—from the South Pacific to the Amazon—to enrich his fiction. He is also Co-founder and Chairman of OneClick.chat, a video engagement platform focused on supporting cognitive health in older adults.
When not traveling, he lives in a charming two-hundred-year-old town—and shares his home with a prince.
