Step into the shadows and fog of Hollywood's golden era. We are seeking short story submissions for an anthology inspired by the film noir classics of the 1940s and 50s.
Your story should evoke your unique spin on the classic noir style. It may feature hard-boiled characters, femme fatales, private eyes, and fast-talking dames or be inspired by a film title or actor/actress from the era. These are only suggestions. We look forward to your creative and unique take on this classic film period. We can't wait to see your best hard-boiled stories emerge from the foggy back alleys of Hollywood's infamous past. If you have never been published before, write the words “debut author” under the title of your story. We’re saving at least one spot for a debut author to provide more opportunities for new voices.

- Stories should be related to games and gaming
- There must be a crime
- The villain should pay for their crime, but you get to decide who the villain is and how they pay
- No children or animals should be harmed
- Stories should not violate trademarks or copyrights of branded games
- Word count should be below 5000 words
- Deadline September 30, 2024
