The Olivia Callahan Suspense Series The Deadening (2021) The Rising (2022) The Torching (2023) The Crushing (2024) Standalones Back Before Dawn (2023) News and Reviews... “The Deadening is a captivating psychological suspense novel that will have you holding your breath with each turn of the page. Peresta has created a world chock-full of characters who are dynamic and unforgettable, for better or worse. Hold on to your seat.” - Clay Stafford, bestselling author and founder of Killer Nashville “A gripping read populated by likable characters. Peresta draws us into a colorful, detailed world and makes us care what happens to the people living in it. We root for Olivia as she struggles to regain her memory, her bearings, and the identity she lost long before her injury. Excellent!” - Susan Crawford, Internationally bestselling author of The Pocket Wife and The Other Widow. “Kerry Peresta's second thriller is as riveting and well-plotted as the first. Among the many pleasures in this taut and fast-paced novel is the protagonist herself. Because the reader gets to see Olivia Callahan from multiple perspectives, this intriguing and potentially unreliable character has a depth and complexity that transcends the genre. The multi-layered narrative spans several time periods in Olivia's fractured life, and all are rendered in clear and vivid prose. An evocative, moving, and satisfying read.” — Lori Robbins, Author of the On Pointe Mystery Series, Silver Falchion Winner for Lesson Plan for Murder “Fascinating and masterfully plotted, The Rising grabs the reader on page one and doesn't let go until the book's twisty and surprising end! I couldn’t put it down!” — Joan Long, author of The Finalist “A propulsive and cleverly crafted thrill ride of a novel. Kerry Peresta brings the goods in this twisty tale where secrets, families, and missing memories come together in an explosive conclusion.” — James L’Etoile, author of At What Cost, Bury the Past, and Black Label |
