About the Author...
Yigal Zur is a noted Israeli writer, journalist, and travel guide who has written 14 books to date. His thriller Passport to Death is the first to feature ex-Mossad agent Dotan Naor and takes place in Thailand (published November 2019, Oceanview). His second thriller, Death in Shangri-la, which was the first to be translated into English (published by Oceanview 2018), continues to feature Dotan Naor and takes place in North India. The third thriller in the same series is Child of Dust, which takes place in Ko-Samui, Thailand, and in Cambodia. Zur also wrote travel books and guides to India and China, as well as a script for Menelik—A Black Jewish Prince, which was filmed in 1999 and won the Wolgin prize at the Jerusalem Film Festival. Amongst his published works are the novels Dark Prune, Spring of Almond’s Blossom, and The Monsoon’s End. Yigal Zur has also hosted successful TV travel shows. He served in the military, spending time on the front lines in the Golan Heights during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. He is the only Israeli journalist ever to be embedded with the US Army in action during Desert Storm 2003 in Iraq. Zur has traveled extensively in 114 countries and is an expert on Southeast Asia. |
