About the Author...

Nicky Nielsen, PhD grew up in Denmark, but trained as an Egyptologist in Liverpool, UK where he now lives. He is the author of several nonfiction and academic works about Ancient Egypt. He has also worked on archaeological excavations in Europe, Turkey and Egypt. He has written for several magazines and blogs including BBC History, The Conversation and Atlas Obscura.
